The Belfast Waterfront Hall (also known as Ulster Hall) is a multi-purpose-built conference and entertainment venue built in 1997. The ICC Belfast is the new identity of the convention centre that covers conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and banquets.
The ICC centre, where the Waterfront Hall is located, is situated in Lanyon Place near the river Lagan. This stylish and modern centre seats 330 in the studio and 2,250 in the auditorium. The Waterfront Hall also contains many bars and restaurants. It’s simply a must-visit business and tourism destination.
There are a variety of shows on in the Waterfront Hall, such as iconic rock or pop gigs, stand-up comedy shows, theatre productions and sports shows. The hall is a key venue for the concerts performed by the Ulster Orchestra and the festival Belfast Festival at Queen’s. Many notable acts have performed here, including Atomic Kitten in 2013 (they also recorded their album in the studio), Carrie Underwood and Britain’s Got Talent auditions in 2014, Westlife vocalist Shane Filan in 2017 and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2018.
The Waterfront Hall was named Best UK Conference and Incentive City Destination in 2013. There are numerous upcoming events taking place here such as: Walking on Cars, the Frozen pantomime, Sean and Conor Price, Zog – live on stage and the Whiskey Social.
